How to use brand kit on canva?

A brand kit in Canva allows you to save your brand assets such as logos, colour palettes, fonts, templates, images, and icons in one place. Once you’ve set it up, a brand kit allows you to quickly access all your brand assets easily during the design process.

With Canva Pro, you can add multiple brand kits, have unlimited colour palettes, and upload your logos and custom fonts, among other features.

How to use this feature?

Once you’ve signed up for Canva Pro, log into your Canva account, and then find and click the “Brand” tab from the homepage’s left navigation panel.

This will take you to the brand kits area where you can create multiple brand kits. You should see areas for the following inside a brand kit:

  • Logos

  • Colour Palettes

  • Fonts

  • Brand Voice

  • Photos

  • Graphics

  • Icon

Of course, you do not need to fill out everything, just the ones that apply to your brand.

Click the “Add new” button to add all the elements.

Adding additional brand kits (optional)

To add more brand kits, simply go to the “Brand” tab from the homepage, and then in the top-right corner, click “Add new.” This will prompt you to enter the name of the new brand kit.

How to Use Canva Brand Kits within a Design

The video above shows you how brand kits come in handy during the design process.

To recap, when you’re within a design window:

  • You can click the “Brand” tab from the left menu. There you should see all brand elements. You can access your logos, icons, images, graphics, and icons from there.

You should also see brand-specific styles (texts and colours) when you go to the “Text” tab, or click the “colour” option for backgrounds, fonts, or elements. Watch the video I linked above for a demonstration.
